Notes

Stained glass window in the church The bas relief will be found on the tympanum on the exterior north side of the East Portico of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception (Goode, The Outdoor Sculpture of Washington, D.C., p. 331). Also, at the entrance to the steps ascending the commanding Knights' Tower of the same building there is an illuminated stained glass image of Columbus.
