Notes

The Columbus House
Just outside the Porta Soprana, on the Vico Dritto di Ponticello, is the Casa de Colombo, the Columbus House. On old photographs, this house is in a narrow street with houses on both sides. Nowadays, all the other houses are demolished and the Columbus house is left as a lonely remnant of the past. In 1987/88 the area is restored for the 1992 celebrations.
